That’s what the TV says?
They have a little boy drinking it in that advert and he grew up to be big, strong and healthy didn’t he?
Well generally speaking: YES milk is good for you… when it is given to babies of any particular species by their own parents.
The milk from a human mother is the perfect food source for a human baby, just as the milk from a cow is the perfect food source for calves and the milk from cats is perfect for kittens etc…
The thing is, as mammals we’re supposed to drink our mother’s breast milk when we’re infants, wean off it as we’re able to chew and digest solids and then stop using milk as food as soon as other nutrients can replace its usefulness.
Don’t you think it’s strange that we don’t do that?
And we are the only mammals that don’t…?
We wouldn’t have another woman feel our baby would we?
In fact if another woman who had recently given birth (and was therefore lactating) offered to feed your baby for you it would be considered extremely odd and pretty unacceptable right? So isn’t it stranger still that we are all more than happy to let a completely different species feed our babies and then continue to feed them for the rest of their lives?
It sounds very strange when put that way but the truth is that cow’s milk is designed to nourish a calf not a human baby and is therefore a dubious source of nourishment at the best of times, even when it’s in its natural form straight from the udder. When it goes through the processes of pasteurisation and homogenisation, any real value that milk may have from a nutritional perspective is practically gone, making its consumption pointless and potentially stressful to human physiology.
We see the words ‘pasteurisation’ and ‘homogenisation’ on our milk cartons and just assume that must be a good thing because why else would they do it?
BUT do you actually know what these terms really mean and the effect it has on your health?
During the process of pasteurisation, milk is boiled at high temperatures to kill off the bacteria that lead to fermentation.
Killing of bacteria – good thing yes? As we’re told that bacteria is bad. BUT pasteurisation also kills off those little ‘good bacteria’ guys – the same bacteria you pay extra for in your little ‘probiotic’ yoghurt drinks. Pasteurisation will also kill enzymes essential for you to actually digestion of the milk and get any goodness out of the milk.
This is what leads to many people’s bodies treating milk as a ‘poison’ and all the usual allergic reactions and intolerances come out such as:
Eczema
Rashes
Diarrhoes
Cramps
IBS
Sneezing
Coughing
To name a few…
What about homogenisation?
Well, milk is essentially oil and water, and oil and water don’t mix. That’s why, in the good old days of a fresh pint of milk in a glass bottle on your door step the cream in your milk would rise to the top leaving the thinner, watery milk at the bottom of the bottle.
Milk didn’t last 7 – 10 days then did it? In fact, it was already ‘on it’s way out’ by the same evening. So what do you think the supermarkets have done to make it last longer…? Sugar? That’s another article…
Anyway, you don’t get that creamy bit on top of the milk anymore do you? Now you get an evenly consistent milk type product without cream no matter how long it’s been left to stand.
That’s good, I didn’t like the creamy bit anyway and now my milk lasts longer!
Well, you might think so, but the process of homogenisation isn’t that great for you or the milk! They push the milk through a filter with tiny perforations at extremely high pressure to ‘chop up’ the fat molecules to create a uniform disposition of fat and water – basically it’s the mixing of two normally unmixable substances.
What’s the problem with that?
Well now, not only is the fat itself in a format that’s pretty much ‘alien’ to human body but the homogenisation process also changes (for the worst) to enzymes in the milk which has been shown to have links to heart disease and cause activation of those ‘free radicals’ you’ve no doubt heard a lot about over the last few years – wrinkles???
Some people’s bodies can tolerate dairy without any side effects, other’s can’t. Which one are you? I don’t know, but what I do know is those people who have cut out milk and cheese on my Guaranteed Results Bootcamp Program have felt SO MUCH better for it and SO MANY ‘Bootcampers’ have now eliminated it completely from their diets after going back to dairy and finding it doesn’t agree with them.
My Guaranteed Results Bootcamps place emphasis on regaining people’s health and improving people’s lifestyle and as a results we get fat loss! A whole lotta fat loss!!! In fact, if you are not happy with the results at the end of the program we will give you your money back – no questions asked!
